Haleakalā means “house of the sun” in the Hawaiian language, and is the namesake of the dormant volcano that forms all of East Maui. It is also the home to our Maui Tea Farm and our award-winning premium black tea. We grow our artisanal Haleakalā Black Tea in rich, organic soil enhanced by trace minerals deposited from historic volcanic flows.
We meticulously handpick our tea from the first two leaves and bud of our Camellia sinensis bushes to craft an exceptional whole leaf tea.
We grow our tea without using herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers.
Flavor profile includes notes of apricot, caramel and honey, accompanied by smooth tannin and slight savory notes.
We are now taking pre-orders for our handpicked Maui Tea Farm Fall 2024 Tea Harvests! Purchase your First Flush Haleakalā Black Tea today to reserve next season's exquisite and limited quantity tea harvests.
